Stop Motion Video with Adobe Premiere Elements
Today I played with the cool stop motion video feature of Premiere Elements. Result – A super cool video of Max scooting around the room. Check it out it is only 20 seconds.

Hi Matthias – Your stop motion video is wonderful. I had a question about Adobe Elements 3.0 stop motion feature that I was hoping you could answer. My son made an incredible stop-motion film with our digital camera, which we viewed a few times on the camera, then wanted to put on the computer and edit with Elements 3.0. We downloaded about 400 shots from the camera onto the computer but cannot figure out how to stitch them together into a stop motion video. Is it possible to do this with Premier Elements 3.0. He is pulling his hair out in frustration. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I am pretty sure I used Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 to do the stop-motion film above. Recently I upgraded to 4.0. I had my digital camcorder directly connected via Firewire to my laptop and then used Premiere Elements to trigger each shot. I am not sure how you use Premiere Elements to import existing pictures and create a stop motion picture.
Sorry!

To answer the question above, bring in the shots numbered in sequence in a folder. But…First change the preferences. The default is 3 seconds. Or, after you bring in the stills, you can save as a DV-AVI and put that on the time line and slow down to your preference.
My question, I have worked with live capture and with video tape to make stop motion. The problem is that the preview window does not work in the capture window. Did your PE3 preview window work or is this a bug in the program? Been working around it for the past year.
Been searching the net and forums and emailed Adobe…no answers yet.
